• PRE FILLER APPOINTMENT INSTRUCTIONS

    • It is recommended to discontinue the use of Aspirin, NSAIDS, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Ginseng, St. John’s Wort, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E or any other essential fatty acids at least 3 days to 1 week before and after treatment to minimize bruising or bleeding. Please consult with your primary physician prior to discontinuing any medications.

    • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, Niacin supplement, and cigarettes 24-48 hours before and after your treatment. All of these factors may increase risk of bruising and swelling.

    • Let HOUSE NICO know if you have a history of cold sores. An antiviral may be prescribed.

    • Avoid dental procedures (including dental cleaning) 2 weeks prior to your appointment or 2 weeks after your appointment please notify the medical staff at HOUSE NICO. We may need to reschedule your appointment to ensure both treatments are free of complications.

    • Avoid vaccines (flu, covid, etc.) 2 weeks prior to your appointment or 2 weeks after your appointment, please notify the medical staff at HOUSE NICO. Your appointment may need to be rescheduled.

  • POST FILLER APPOINTMENT INSTRUCTIONS

  • Use Tylenol for any soreness.

  • Avoid significant movement or massage of the treated area unless instructed by the provider.

  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

  • Avoid extensive sun or heat for 72 hours.

  • If you have swelling, you may apply a cool compress for 15 minutes each hour if instructed to do so by provider. Any tiny bumps or needle marks will go away within the healing timeframe of 2-4 weeks.

  • Sleep face up and slightly elevated. This will also help with swelling.

  • Postpone any dental procedure(s) and vaccines for at least 2 weeks after treatment.

  • It is recommended that you wait at least 2 weeks before having any other facial treatments (i.e. facials, massages, lasers, ultrasounds, micro-dermabrasion).

  • It takes 2-3 weeks for full results of dermal fillers to settle. Please be patient. Not only are swelling and bruising common after treatment, but dermal filler takes time to rehydrate and attract water molecules to create a soft, natural result.

  • Accidental injection into a blood vessel may block the vessel and cause damage to the surrounding tissues. If you notice the injected area turning dark blue/black (not like a bruise) or have intense pain in the injected area call the office immediately. This is a medical emergency.
